Something is better than nothing．有一点总比没有强。
另有一句句子结构和意思都相同的谚语是：A little is better than none，意译就等于中国成语“聊胜于无。”
同样意思的谚语还有：
Half a loaf is better than no bread．
半个面包，胜过没有面包。
A bit in the morning is better than nothing all day．
哪怕只有一点，也总比全部落空好。
Half an egg is better than an empty shell．
半只蛋总比空壳好。
以上意思都是劝人要知足，不要要求太高。当然这应该是用于物质上的享受。如果工作或学习上的要求，就不该安于现状，应该不断上进。
